Groups and Circles at "Wesley Mem"

Faith Formation Circle

Faith Formation:

At Wesley Memorial we are eager for our children and youth to feel that they are members of a loving community and partners in our community's outreach to those in need.  We are engaged in a new program which we have chosen to call Faith Formation. Meeting monthly for intergenerational gatherings we will share faith stories, engage in service projects, and discover the power of working and living in a Christian Community. Families are encouraged to take advantage of available resources for faith-sharing at home. Examples of monthly gatherings are cooking meals, providing meals for Ronald McDonald and homeless men, decorating the sanctuary for Advent.

Prayer Group:

Our prayer group meets each Wednesday at noon in the Aldersgate room for approximately 45 minutes to an hour. The group prays about concerns that have been shared with the congregation as well as ongoing concerns. No one is asked to pray out loud who doesn't wish to do so, and leadership is provided each week by Rocky Shoemaker, Renita Sheesley-Banks, or Ed Winkler. You're welcome to bring your lunch, and all who wish to participate are welcome.
